Modding has been an important part of our games for over 10 years, and we hope to do even more in the coming year for all our players, regardless of platform. 'We are excited finally to get modding to our PlayStation fans who have supported us for so long. Bethesda wanted more freedom in this feature to offer more possibilities to users. The reason is not technical, but is produced by disagreements between Bethesda and Sony on the implementation of the same. 'By creating a account, you'll be able to browse and try mods right from within the game.' Bethesda has officially confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4 will run out of mod support. 'You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do,' the publisher explained. To create mods you'll have to download Bethesda's Creation Kit. It's unclear if it will have 4k support, but it will have 'enhanced lighting and graphics features'. Once that's done, Bethesda will shift its focus to adding similar features to Fallout 4. Its PS4 Pro support will allow the game to be rendered in native 4k. Skyrim will receive mod support first upon the launch of its remastered edition on 28th October. Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 will both receive mod support on PS4, publisher Bethesda has announced.įurthermore, they'll both receive updates to take advantage of the PS4 Pro.
